2007 was an eventful year for igloo culminating in a preview of their new work SwanQuake at the wonderful animation festival AURORA (formerly Norwich International Animation festival) The work was installed in an empty shop unit in the bleak Anglia Square of Norwich. Ruth & Bruno took part on the Interactive Worlds panel chaired by David Surman.

Starting the year off KidZone returned from Lille3000 to Rich Mix Cultural Foundation for an extended period from January through to September and saw the year out at Watermans Gallery over the festive holidays. 

dotdotdot became a part of Virtual Creatures, Folly's online showcase of web-based art. An exhibition, which launched in April and remained live for six months. Virtual Creatures presented artist-created virtual creatures, which exist, within cyber space as living entities to be visited, manipulated, petted and/or played with.

One of the highlights of the year was an invitation to The 52nd Venice Biennale.

Igloo took Summerbranch virtual environment to Palazzo Zenobio as apart of the New Forest Pavilion. A parallel exhibit occurred at ArtSway where igloo made three new forest lenticulars and for + 10 a new 2D print SilentSpring

During the same months Jessica Cochran curator at Around the Coyote in Chicago invited igloo to exhibit the Summerbranch wall prints as a part of the group show Gameplay: Video Games in Contemporary Art Practice. Gameplay was an exhibition that addressed the innovative ways that artists incorporate video gaming technology and strategies into their work as a means to explore themes such as place, identity, community, politics, and resistance.

The entire Summerbranch works were re -created for the three gallery spaces at Space4 in Peterborough.  Two new virtual environments, the original video work Ghillie and a set of new lenticular and wall prints. The exhibition welcomed over nine thousand gallery visitors during the summer months.

During February Ruth & Bruno presented work at the Huddersfield Media Centre and tutored students on the multi-media and installation art course at the University of Huddersfield’s School of Art & Design alongside Jen Southern and Stuart Nolan. 

Igloo were invited to speak at Goldsmiths Digital Studio’s Thursday Group by Maria X about their work with Figure and Landscape, Emma Westcott at University of Wales Newport invited Ruth onto the artist’s panel at Women in Games conference. Ruth also presented at The PHD seminars at Smart Lab Digital Media Institute at UEL later on in the year. 

Igloo made new work in France with Second Life’s favourite and long time igloo collaborator Adam Nash on sound for NeverSummerNights & NewForest. Cybersalon invited igloo to show NeverSummerNights as part of the London Games Festival at GAMES: AV.
