GoodbyeVenus performance 2004

The morning of June 8, 2004 the planet Venus moved in front of the sun. The BBC televised a special ‘Sky at Night’ programme and the presenter Patrick Moore (a hero of Igloo) proclaimed 'Goodbye Venus'as the transit came to an end. The ‘Sky at Night’ is the longest running TV show in the history of the BBC and Patrick Moore’s comment became the title of the piece.

Yorkshire based band WAGEN - (We’re All Good Except Neil) were approached by Igloo to be part of the work. The lads (average age 14) became the second band to perform at The Royal Opera House, following in the footsteps of Motorhead.
