WarStars - Installation 2002

The Guardian Guide's Exhibitions Pick of the Week "....The Lunar Like terrain of Iceland provides the backdrop to Warstars, a series of wierdly apocalyptic films that seek out the mythic heart of this ashen world."

Warstars is a series of interrelated films concerned with the relationship between figure and landscape. The installation exposes the rhythms of nature which lends a mythic quality to the progression through lava, water, sulphur, rock and ice. Shot entirely on location in Iceland, Warstars features a double stereo score by one of icelands leading electronic muscians, Bjossi Thorgrimsson aka Biogen.

Warstars premiered at the ALAS 4th International Festival of Film and New Media in Athens. The WarStars installation was nominated for a prize in the Offline Multimedia section of the XV-th international computer art forum Computer Space 2003. Warstars toured the UK 04/05.
